I simply went to www.gtk.org and downloaded their Stable version of 1.2. It's at
ftp://ftp.gtk.org/pub/gtk/v1.2
gtk+-1.2.3.tar.gz and glib-1.2.3.tar.gz

Lot of emails from me...

OK, where can I download some GTK static libs? I already have
gnome installed as binary RPMS. I'm just downloading

gtk+-1.2.3-2.src.rpm
gtk+10-1.0.6-5.src.rpm
gtk-engines-0.5-16.src.rpm

To compile and install. Are these the right versions for lazarus? They are
a couple of notches up from what I have now, and hopefully will build static
libs too as I think that is what lazarus needs.
