Please forgive my ignorance to the free-software movement... but, I quite
frankly don't care if its .com or .org. Being a .org costs the same amount
of money as .com, and there are hundreds if not thousands of organizations
which are non-profit that have .com addresses. There is NO distinction on
the internet of the TODAY between .com, .net, and .org. To have tunnel
vision and say "we can only be .org" is a BIG MISTAKE in my opinion. Go
ahead and register the .org if you can get it. However, how much time and
effort will be spent on internic trying to move the freepascal.org domain
over to another host? I say keep that on the back burner, and grab the
.COM while it exists.

Per Michael's message:
>Last week friday I was put on hold for 40 minutes. Call from Belgium to the
>USA. At the prices we have here (1-2$ a minute) you can imagine :(

My math indicates that at 1.50 a minute, that call cost 60 dollars. Name
registration cost 70 dollars. We could have had freepascal.com registered
with the money spent chasing those idiots at internic.

So tell me how important .ORG really is.

This is my 2 cents on the issue.
