We who talk in Spanish see English pronuntiation as a mess. 

For us, "a" is always as in "bar", "e" as in "bed", "i" as in "bit",
"o" as in "not", "u" as in "bull". 

Consonants follow similarly easy rules.

Our language is more "pascalish"... very legible, easy for a lexical
scanner :)
