[lazarus] Editor

Question:
Would it be a good idea to take the mwedit source, and try to get it to compile and run in our source?  This would accomplish 2 things.
1: We would have specific things we knew we needed to get working.
2: When we got it working, we'd have an editor!

I think this may be a good way to do this.  Compile some code and see where the errors are and fix them. Once all the errors are fixed (and we are close to Delphi compatable) then we would have an editor that we could all use!  
Any thoughts?  It's an awfully nice editor...

Some time ago I've downloaded one interesting Delphi component - free
source, VCL based editor - no use of Windows edit control (at least they
say so). Its home page is http://www.eccentrica.org/gabr/mw/mwedit.htm 
Maybe you can make use of it.
