We know about the problem, i've already mailed about the missing file on monday. But the
guy that should add the file couldn't be online for a few days as he has written, so the
problem will stay for awhile in the development (1.1 branch)

The 1.0.4 release is correct and includes all the files required and it is the recommended
version to base development on.

If you want a stable compiler from CVS you need to checkout the FIXES_1_0_0 branch, that
will give you a 1.0.x compiler. The HEAD branch is the development branch in which some
things can be broken, most of these broken things, especially a missing file, are also
known by the core developpers as we also can't cycle a new compiler.

I hope this will make the compiler related part a bit more clear... In short the
conclusion is that we recommend to base development on the latest released (1.0.4)
compiler. And only use the development compiler if you really require one of the new
features like interfaces or default parameters.
