BTW, code templates are working but you have to do something first.  In the lazarus directory there is a lazaurs.dci file.  You should copy that into your home directory under a .lazarus directory.

Mine is located in
/home/smiller/.lazarus
and it should be names lazarus.dci.

This will allow the editoroptions dialog to see the file and dispaly all the templetes correctly.  Then they will be usable in the editor.  Simply press the NEW FORM button or open a unit, Go to a procedure and type

tryf

when the cursor is AFTER the "f" in "tryf" press Ctrl-J.

I have committed to CVS.  

Changes include :  TSourceEditor now uses TSynEdit as it's editor.  This works faster and looks better and seems to be more reliable.

TStatusBar : Now functional.  Works pretty well.

TSourceEditor: Right-Clicking on the editor gives you a number on features that DO work.

EditorOptions: Clicking on Environment - Options brings up a dialog.  Currently most features don't seem to work but having the editor built is a big step in the right direction.  Some "newbies" could work on implementing the dialog into Lazarus......

Please check this out and let me know if I have missed any files!!!!
