Here is what I did to compile the sources of fpc 1.0.7.

Hope you already installed 1.0.6

1. cd to "c:\pp\src\whatever the directory of fpc 1.0.7\compiler\"
2. Try copy windres.exe, dlltool.exe, ldw.exe, asw.exe into "c:\pp\src\whatever
the directory of fpc 1.0.7\compiler\"
3. run make cycle.

If this fails, grab a copy of Msys at www.mingw.org.

Install Msys and use Msys as your console. Goto the directory where you
installed the source, normally it should /c/pp/src/whatever the directory of
fpc-1.0.7/compiler", make sure that you copied the above mentioned exe files the
run make cycle.

Hope this helps, its worked for me. I strongly suggest you try without using
msys first.

Yoyong

Duh. Tried to compile with 1.0.6/win32 compiles some of the files but fails
constantly at one event, the compilers/makes last words are:
C:/PP/BIN/WIN32/MAKE.EXE lazarus.res
MAKE.EXE[1]: Entering directory `C:/lazarus/lazarus'
windres -i lazarus.rc -o lazarus.res --preprocessor C:/PP/BIN/WIN32/cpp.exe
windres: no resources
MAKE.EXE[1]: *** [lazarus.res] Error 1
MAKE.EXE[1]: Leaving directory `C:/lazarus/lazarus'
C:\PP\BIN\WIN32\MAKE.EXE: *** [ide] Error 2

I assume I need fpc 1.0.7, since all resources and sources are present and
the path enviroment variable grants access to all fpc directorys.

Hope someone can help me - although these are beginners questions...
thx
