Hi all,

There are now RPMs for lazarus and fpc on the website.

http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index

The lazarus RPM needs the FreePascal Compiler and its sources. Therefore you
can also find RPMs for the compiler:
- fpc RPMs (the compiler binaries, fpc libs, packages, tools)
- fpcsrc RPMs (the complete fpc sources).

All three come in two flavours:

1. for fpc 1.0.7 from march 1, 2003
2. for fpc 1.1 from december 25, 2002

The fpc 1.0.7 is the stable version.
The fpc 1.1 is the unstable developer version, which contains a lot of new
features like dynamic arrays, interfaces, more delphi compatibility, thread
safe RTL, more supported OS, and many more. Keep in mind that it is not
completely compatible to 1.0.x. For example the type checking is more strict
and the 'Linux' unit now have the name 'Unix'.

The lazarus RPMs will probably be updated weekly.
Of course you can also install only the fpc RPMs and use the lazarus cvs
version, which is recommended.
