Don't worry. It only seems to be an issue if you convert an old MS 
Office .rtf file to a new .rtf file with OpenOffice.  Designing the 
template reports from scratch with OpenOffice and then viewing the final 
populated report with MS Office or OpenOffice works perfectly!  :-)
