[Lazarus] Lazarus under Wine

Now I did what any sensible user should always do and carefully read the error message. :)
The problem is that Lazarus cannot find the files as the corresponding directories really don't exist.
For example I want to load COPYING.GPL.txt in the lazarus directory (C:\lazarus\), but Lazarus tries to load C:\lazaru\COPYING.GPL.txt which is not there.
It seems like Lazarus is loosing the last letter of the last directory name of the path (veryfied with other files and dirs).
Does anybody have any ideas what can cause this?
