LCL code must be compilable with the latest fpc release (fpc 2.2.4), the 
latest fixes branch (fpc 2.3.1) and the latest trunk (fpc 2.5.1)

We are fortunate that this sources are not part of the LCL.

Quiet a percentage of the Lazarus developer use fpc 2.3.1 or 2.5.1, 
those developers can not try out your code easily.
