If you install a bare-bones X11 on Linux, you already have the X libraries
installed. This is NOT the case for Qt or GTK1/GTK2 based applications
which have huge libraries dependencies and are not included in a bare-bones
X11 install.

You cannot get Windows without GDI - it comes standard.
