For 0.9.28: I believe 2.2.4 (the FAQ here 
http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Lazarus_Faq#What_version_of_FPC_is_required.3F 
is wrong about this as 0.9.28(.2) was bundled with 2.2.4)
