[Lazarus] Using Lazarus on Embedded Linux?

Looks like the freepascal site is down at the moment.
No replies have been relayed over to the GMane news server, 
which I use to monitor the activity...
And I cannot connect to the list server to change my maile 
delivery options (have to enable mail to get the responses).

I am replying to this with Outlook 2003, hence the strange 
formatting.

Thanks for your links, look quite interesting!
I will for sure be back with more questions.
Now my next task after setting up Lazarus on Windows I will 
try to do the same on Ubuntu.
Any suggested version of Ubuntu recommended?
And is sudo apt install lazarus all one need to do to get 
it on Ubuntu or is there a more complex method required?
