That is, I understand it's not my code at fault and I'm happy to hear that plans for 2.8 include improved unicode awareness, so at this stage I'll just document this as an issue that users of the mplayer package need to be aware of. Also, if the fpc guys are working towards unicode awareness, I'll leave off the bugreport.</div>
