I think I have a handle (no pun intended) on this now, after the post midnight run of last night, and a few private emails with Michael H.  Things are looking up, and I may (fingers crossed) have something to show this evening.  At this point, I am handling LCL and Windows messages, but crashing when attempting to Show a window.  But it is a start.  A few more hours and we'll see.
