I've been lurking for quite a while (since Megido) and i will give you
a hand with coding after the holidays season. I'll get more free time then
and i hope i could get Linux hook on to the net by then and it will give me
the time to learn using the GTK.

In my opinion you don't need to do a converter for Delphi 5 since the
version 5 support both DFM format i.e. Text and Binary. In the environment
options
of Delphi 5 there's an option to for that purpose, so if someone want to
port his app
from Delphi 5 to Lazarus the only thing he has to do is to set the dfm
option to binary
and do a save all.

If you're interested, there's a freeware implementation with source in
delphi of the SAX
parser (Simple Api Xml).
