Sorry about that. I meant to add the link to my other email. I had
copied it to the clipboard but forgot to paste it.  :-\

As far as I know it isn't gnome specific. It is just a new gtk widget
that does editing, highlighting, etc. etc. Designed mainly for editing
source code. It is still kinda new so it might not be want we want to do
but I thought that maybe if you can at least look at what they are doing
in and with the widget maybe it will give you ideas of how to do the
same thing in FPC.
