no i am just referring to the format of the dfm. The ide will look at that
and generate the code necessary for the classes.

That means that even glade could open one of our dfm files. Or it could be
viewed in a browser.

You've lost me here Cliff. How is the compiler suppose to deal with an
xml document? Sure the IDE could output the data it is collecting to an
XML file but then what? What is the compiler suppose to do with it?

I don't want to have to deliver XML documents along with my application
for every form I create.
