The "lmhosts" is for windows filesharing. Start up notepad and put in:
134.58.81.164 tflily.fys.kuleuven.ac.be
Then save it as c:\windows\hosts
Notepad might save it as hosts.txt even if you leave out the extension. To
make sure, go to the dos prompt and type in:
c:
cd \windows
dir host*.*
This should show you what it is at the moment.
If you see it is named hosts.txt or something, type in the following:
ren hosts.txt hosts
Then retry the cvs. You shouldn't need to reboot for the hosts file to take
effect. You should be able to type "ping tflily.fys.kuleuven.ac.be" and it
should find the IP address and try to ping the machine.
Depending on your firewall, you may or may not be able to ping the machine,
but it should definitely find the IP address from the hosts file.

The proxy server shouldn't have any effect.
>Has anybody another idea ?
Well, the problem you have described is a DNS problem. The hosts file
should fix that. There could be another problem, though. If you are behind
a firewall, it's possible the firewall will not allow CVS through. If the
machine can get the IP address when you try to ping the CVS server, then
just try CVS and see if it works. If at that point you get an error like
"Can't connect" or "no route to host" or something like that, it might be a
firewall problem.
>The system at my office is : WIN95 + NOVELL network.
Novell shouldn't really affect it at all. As long as the network runs
TCP/IP it should work.
Hope this helps :)
