I just now only looked at the message itself. That is a 'C' compare.
This has to be coming out of some other library. I don't know why or
what but the gtk stuff always seems to put gtk in front of the message.
Something unpleasant is going on.   :-\

I'll have to wait until I get home to do a CVS update and see if I can
help find the problem.
