Ok,
I used the settings in the howto:
SET CVSROOT=:pserver:cvs at cvs.freepascal.org:/FPC/CVS
and now I have tried yours to but gets exactly the same message.
We are using a proxi server here with firewall,
I don't know any more...
Do I have to edit the Autoexec.bat file ?
This one is totaly empty !

I just tried CVS and it worked fine.
What do you have the CVS server set to?
Mine (on Linux) says....
CVSROOT=:pserver:lazarus at cvs.freepascal.org:/FPC/CVS

Hi,
I finally got the CVS into my computer at work (NT machine) !!
I read the insruktions on the web and everything works until this message:
"cvs [login aborted] : connect to cvs.freepascal.org:2401 failed:
Connection timed out"
Is this an error or is it maybe because of high traffic on the net ?
The CVS first timer
Chris
