[lazarus] sockets?

i scanned the components page today.
did i just miss the sockets components? is this a planned thing?

the reason why i ask, is that i heard something about winshoes, now calling 
themselves indy, being in beta for linux and windows.
i have heard mixed reviews of previous win versions, but does anyone have 
thoughts on this?

would this be something else to fill the palette, to entice more others to 
use laz?

i also heard something of borland is going to be using this package for 
kylix and D6
