[lazarus] Kylix becomes Open Source?

As a reader to Slashdot (http://www.slashdot.org/), there are some
interesting articles that come up, and one in particular refers to an
article on ZDNet:

The gist of this story is, essentially, that Borland is releasing some
of the source code for Kylix, as least parts of it may eventually become
GPL'd... or so the speculation goes.

I have my doubts, but at least they are openly stating that they are
supporting the GNOME UI (not that it is news or anything).

In related news.... Borland/Inprise is now simply.... Borland.  Who'd
know?
