GTK ???

When experimenting with Glade & GTK still in its native C language, it has
been my experience that upon executing gtk_init() and gtk_main(), that
gtk_main does not exit normally.  However, if you trap the destroy event in
a callback and then call gtk_main_quit(), then the prompt comes back. See
