We are discussing how it's organized, along with how we've been designing things and whether or not it's the best way to do so.

Currently, we are discussing the class structure for the editor and form designer.
We are trying to get something that we agree is the best class design so we can start working on it.
Currently I have done most of the development on the editor as it stand now, and frankly it's a mess.
We are hoping that by discussing this together, it'll be more clear to everyone and easier to work on together.

The underlying code for the LCL is not being discussed (at this point).
It's at a stage that we are happy with at this point.
It still requires a lot of work, but the method and structure we used to build it is sufficient at this time.
Once we design the overall class structure for the IDE, Editor, Form Designer, Compiler, and debugger class we will publish them to this mailing list and gather input.

It is currently going slow because some of the developers are heavy into other projects. I will update this mailing list as we go.

about the project organization on another mailing list so there is less
activity here at the moment.

Are the developers discussing just the project organization or also the way
this project (lazarus & lcl) is to be designed and implemented. Because the
latter is also interesting for future developers and other list-readers, so
that they can step in quicker later on.
