On linux it must be cdecl. But it is. All external functions have
{$ifdef win32}stdcall{$else}cdecl{$endif};
in their definition.

I don't know where you got your sources from, but the current CVS contains
the correct files. I've developed a mysql app on monday, and that worked
fine.
