I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting TONS of bounce notices
where the Brid.A virus is pretending to be me. This is one of those
viruses where if you are the infected one it grabs someone's e-mail
address out of your inbox and pretends to be that person so that it is
hard to trace back.
What surprises me is that every one is from a non-US mail server. What
this tells me is that someone who has a large non-US list of e-mails in
their inbox, AND has my e-mail address, is infected with Brid.A. This
list is the only place that situation comes to mind.
This virus is particularly nasty - on the 9th and 19th it attempts to
delete files on your hard drive. If it detects that you are attempting
to remove it by deleting it or deleting it's registry keys, it wipes
your hard drive.
