[lazarus] File sizes

G'day All.

Cheers for the compile fix Mattias, that solved it nicely.

I managed to build Lazarus and it's libs smartlinked. I needed 10 minutes and 500MB of ram on a dual processor Athlon 2000+ machine to do it though :p).
( I mean ld used 500MB of ram to link lazarus. Running on a machine with 1GB)


examples/hello.pp builds to 3.0MB using static linking, 1.6MB using smart linking and 600KB using Smartlinking and then using strip on the file.

Mucho improvement.

I have tried to build Lazarus smartlinked on my laptop (1GHZ PIII with 128MB of ram) but even leaving it running overnight, it has not completed.

Not a problem, just an observation :p)

Lazarus is shaping up nicely.
