Thank you for your help Mattias, it's work now ! ;-)

I have started to add translation in french. A part was done yet, but 
the accent were wroted as "é" or "à" and I think, it is one of the 
reason I could not see them in the menus. So in first place I write 
without accent and as soon as I can, I look for how to write the accent 
à as "/a" maybe or something else. It is gonna take me a little week for 
the french version because I'm doing that in my freetime, but I am 
working on it ! (4600 lines !) :-)

You could maybe have a place on your webside to put it.
Could you send me the english version when it is no corrected, so I take 
a look to translate as good as I can in french !

I have installed Lazarus on RedHat-9.
I have downloaded the binaries for linux:
lazarus-0.8.5.3-fpc_1.0.7_laz.20030301.i386.rpm
I have downloaded the compiler for linux:
fpc-1.0.7-laz.20030301.i386.rpm
fpcsrc-1.0.7-laz.20030301.i386.rpm
When you are finished make a cd to the directory where you have 
downloaded the files
As su - ,installed them with:
rpm -ivh fpsrc-...
rpm -ivh fpc-...
rpm -ivh lazarus-...
Go to the start menu, start a programme, write lazarus and a guepard as 
icon will appear.
When the program is started, run the empty project without any components.
If you get the message:
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgdk_pixbuf, in your debugger,
Then you have to find the package gdk-pixbuf-devel on http://rpmfind.net
Because of the dependencies, you will have maybe to install several 
packages ( I got 10 ! )
Just remember to install them from the place where thet are downloaded 
with the command rpm -ivh, as root.
Now start lazarus again, it's works ! ;-)

downloadés les files.
Comme su -, installé les en écrivant:
rpm -ivh fpsrc-...
rpm -ivh fpc-...
rpm -ivh lazarus-...
Aller au menu de départ, choisissez lancer un programme, écrivé lazarus, 
et un guépard apparaitra comme icone.
Quand le programme est démarré, débuggez le projet de base sans y 
ajouter quoi que ce soit.
Si vous avez le message:
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgdk_pixbuf, dans votre debugger,
Et bien, il vous faudra aller chercher le paquetage gdk-pixbuf-devel sur 
http://rpmfind.net.
A cause des dépendances, il vous faudra peut etre installé plusieurs 
paquetages (j'en ai eu 10 !).
Souvenez vous de les installer de la place où vous les avez downloadés 
avec la commande rpm -ivh, comme root.
Redémarrez lazarus maintenant, ça marche ! ;-).
