I just tried it on RH9 and it works.
Maybe you tried an older version of lazarus. One month ago there was a bug
in TTreeView, which caused a crash when adding it on a notebook page. The
bug is also in the RPMs. They will be updated as soon as I tracked down some
other bugs.
