I rechecked too, all chars works OK in other controls, seems to be 
SynEdit specific.
CopyPasting accented chars works.
When i hit acent chars such ', ^, ", etc Your testapp shows "deadacute", 
"deadcircumflex", "deaddieresis" respectively, with a lot of other 
Extrange info ;-)
