[Lazarus] Is this a new microsoft approach?

Well the unix way sure as hell beats the Vista way! It's proven and it
works! Vista on the other hand have VirtualStore directories, Virtual
registry entries etc... All simply to try and fix applications that
are "broken" because they did not adhere to security rules.  I'm not a
Microsoft fan, but they were right to hammer down on UAC (at long
last), just a pity about this "virtual" sh*t.  Simply allow
configuration files to be written in the users HOME folder, nowhere
else, unless you are Admin — how difficult is that! You don't need
this virtual crap.
