[Lazarus] Error: Unrecognized file format for input file "fpc-res.res

Hello All, I have recently upgraded my system and when trying to compile
a project I get the above error.

I am using Ubuntu 9.04 which installed FPC 2.2.2-8 and Lazarus 0.9.26-4.
The project was initially done under FPC 2.2.0 and Lazarus 0.9.24.
