[Lazarus] Translations

My application need to read a language preference from a setting(be it in an
ini file or from database) and translate the app according to this setting.
How do I acheive this?  I did have a look at the documentation but there is
no mention of how this could be done.  It only explains how to hard code the
language file to use.
