Waiting nearly 10 years for this. :)
Every other Linux IDE I know has at least a terminal tab/window where stdout is displayed.

Actually the reason I don't use the debugger in the IDE. But on Linux the workaround is just a terminal away. Perhaps I just got too used to my many open terminals.
