[Lazarus] Why was XML format chosen for storing settings in Lazarus IDE?

Sure it's _possible_ to implement all of this in ini format.  It's
just not sane and logical and scalable.

Sure it is harder to read, but luckily you won't have to read it
often.  Why are you even complaining about this?  Another storm in a
teacup?
