[Lazarus] lazarus compile problem

Hello all, I am trying to compile the fixes-0-9-30 branch from svn 32006 
the compile stops when calling fpcres resource compiler.

My system is a Toshiba laptop using Mandriva 2010.2.

Free Pascal Compiler version 2.4.5 [2011/08/18] for i386
Copyright (c) 1993-2010 by Florian Klaempfl
Target OS: Linux for i386


Compiling resource ../units/i386-linux/lazarus.or
lazarus.pp(130,1) Error: Can't call the resource compiler "/usr/bin/fpcres",
switching to external mode

[paul at localhost i386-linux]$ ls ./lazarus*
./lazarusidestrconsts.o    ./lazarusidestrconsts.rst  ./lazarus.res
./lazarusidestrconsts.ppu  ./lazarus.o                ./lazarus.reslst

[paul at localhost i386-linux]$ ls ./*.or
ls: cannot access ./*.or: No such file or directory

fpcres is in the /usr/bin directory but there are no .or files in the 
paul at localhost i386-linux directory.

where do I find these .or files?
