I think I'll have to tune my irony emitter a bit ...
My intention was to point out, that there are tools and framework for
doing exactly what you are implementing. Having tools ready would free
precious developer time for other things.
If those tools are not usable directly it is at least worth a look at
the conceptual approach and maybe the xml definition used. It could be
helpful to use a standardized file format if you want to give away those
doc files and have others do the documentation work.
Since most developers do not like writing documentation and there are
trained technical writers for writing manuals and such, it could be
worthy.
You arfe right, lazarus' own docs are a special case. But aren't those
techniques used for other doc types, e.g. libraries to give away or user
programs, the same you are working at?
Having someone else write program manuals isn't a rare case, btdt.
