That is why you should use a more recent version.
The bug was fixed well over a year ago!

Best choice is a 0.9.29 snapshot which is almost the same as 0.9.30 will be.
The development trunk version is also very usable.
The current versions of Lazarus are much more stable than 0.9.28.2.
There is really no need to use the older version if you have problems with it.

Also, reporting bugs is good but they are most helpful if you test them 
against the development version.
