I wrote a system to manage translations, added an english translation
while keeping the dutch one, made the toolbars configurable, removed
all dependencies and I concentrated all HTML tools in one menu to make
it more a general text editor.

A win32 release is available there too and the installer will install
a "Open with LazEdit" explorer context menu =) Now it can already
replace Notepad++ for me and should be a strong contenter in Linux.
