[Lazarus] networking / webservices

Hi

I am new to Lazarus (Ex Delphi but that was years ago) and am
investigating it for use in a multi OS project (Windows, Linux , Mac,
Android and IOS).

One requirement of thsi project is to connect to a web service, type of
service to be defined.

I have tried to find webservice / networking libraries for Lazarus but
all that I have found will not compile/install and my knowledge is not
up to fixing the issues. Plus I am only in the evaluation phase so dont
have the time to fix things that I may not end up using.

I am using Lazarus 0.9.30.4 with FPC 2.6.0.0 and have tried Indy, Inet,
Synapse and WST libraries.

Is it possible to build GUI applications with network connectivity for
multiple platforms with Lazarus ?

At the moment I can even work out how to open a socket connection !
