I don't really see your problem.

What do you mean with "existing documentation"? Link/refer from the book
to the wiki and vice versa.

Also - haven't checked - the licenses of book & wiki may very well be
compatible, so it would be possible to copy over stuff literally
(instead of rephrasing it).
