Wasn't there a recent change where the prerequisite version of gtk was
incremented? Try building for Qt or (as suggested) lazbuild only.
However unless you really need trunk I think you ought to be using
Lazarus 1.0 + FPC 2.6.0: there are still issues in later versions e.g.
