[Lazarus] Write full, read only a half of a field !

Hi all,
I inserted 30 accents characters in a VARCHAR(30)
It wrote correctly, but it shows me only 15 characters in a Select...
I've tested in both databases: UTF8 and WIN1252
Anyone knows how to fix that ?

Lazarus 1.0.10
Firebird 2.5
Zeos 7
