Hi,
I need some volunteers for testing.
--- Starting with tomorrows 1.1 (trunk) Snapshots (revision 42510 or up) ---
The Installer for windows has the ability to create secondary
installations. This allows to have different versions installed, that do
not interfere with each other.
All you need to do is tick the checkbox "secondary installation" (when
choosing the install directory), and follow the instructions.
You will then be ask for a new empty folder, where the config will be
stored (this can be a sub-folder in the install directory).
* This also works, if your existing installation is older.
Updating an installation, using the installer, will detect if the
selected directory contains a secondary install.
--- Testing
Since I am asking for "testers".
As with everything new: There is a slight chance, things do not go to
plan. If you try the feature please let me know how it went.
And of course be carefully; and BACKUP your data.
