I was always under the impression the new FPC will have a Unicode and
AnsiString RTL.

Either way, nothing stops me from making my methods (eg: fpgFindFirst)
to simply be an alias to a Unicode RTL method. I can't see why that
wouldn't work. Plus that would mean all existing fpGUI project will
continue to work, and the fpg* prefixed ones could be marked deprecated
in fpGUI.

Once a Unicode FPC goes into beta, I'll start evaluating my options for
fpGUI.
