[Lazarus] Querying Windows service pack installations

Hi,
I am wanting to write an app that checks to see if a particular Windows
update has been installed, and then if not, to run the "pre downloaded"
file.
Any ideas how to read if the update has already been installed?
Is it a registry entry?
