i recall working with at least four different build modes in the last year or
so... especially when working on the script i wrote for updating lazarus and
using the default build modes that come with...
clean up + build all
normal ide
debug ide
optimized ide
yes, these are apparently for the IDE but i also had them, at one time, for each
of my "projects" i was working on... until that section of the configurator was
disabled... i use the term "projects" in quotes because they were projects for
me but not projects (lpr) in lazarus... they were and still are mostly just
individual pas files connected together by a few uses lines...
i rather miss the above, too... it was very easy to switch from debug mode to
normal or optimized and then compile a new executable... it made it so much
easier for me to compile four flavors of the same executable for testing and
distribution if necessary...
of course, the above are only the default ones that come (came?) with lazarus...
one can easily add their own and name them whatever they want with their own
settings...
