[Lazarus] hybrid web programming

there is an existing web site that was created using PHP.

A new part must be added to this web site that allows for
searching/editing a database.

This part already exists written in Delphi and could be easily ported
to Lazarus.

Can one take a web site written in PHP and add a part written in Lazarus ?

I am very ignorant about web programming.
